Breakfast at The Billabong restaurant is a feature of a
stay at Bakers Creek Station---freshly squeezed juice from fruit grown in our
orchards, free range farm eggs, prize winning local sausages and bacon, our own
home made preserves and freshly brewed coffee and tea.
The unique selection of preserves made in the
restaurant kitchen has always been the high point of a memorable meal. We use
fruits with distinctive flavours such as lemonades, Davidsonšs plums, cumquats,
rosellas and cherry guavas. All are made from fruit organically grown in our
farm orchards.
So popular were these preserves with our guests that we
decided to offer them for sale from the restaurant. Word soon spread--- people
began coming to Bakers Creek Station just to buy our preserves.
We realised that they deserved a wider public and they
are now offered through a small number of fine food stores.
