We
offer a Function Room, The Billabong restaurant and charming sandstock cabins
set in 12 acres of lakeside gardens.
The Billabong licensed restaurant seats 60 in comfort
but larger groups can be catered for with the use of a marquee. The restaurant
is quite unique. It extends out over the lake in a westerly direction and has a
spacious, open design offering views to all points of the compass. Built in
early Australian style from weatherboard, bush poles and corrugated iron it has
an ambience that is friendly, inviting and peaceful. Dinner or a late lunch
while the sun is setting over the lake and the mountains beyond is an
unforgettable experience. Meals for groups can be pre-ordered from the a la
carte menu or a set menu or buffet can be designed to meet clients requirements. In either
case the food will be of the highest standard.
The Function Room is elevated and north facing with
expansive lake views. A spacious building with good natural lighting and a very
wide verandah it is well suited to functions of any type.
The gardens provide countless outdoor locations for
functions, ceremonies and parties both large and small. In the event of
unfavourable weather the gathering can quickly and easily move to the Function
Room.
Bakers Creek Station is particularly suitable for
weddings --- a beautiful and totally private venue where ceremony, reception,
guest accommodation and honeymoon can be combined. If a function includes
accommodation bookings exclusive use of the resort is available. The
breathalyzer, gatecrashers and the long drive home can be forgotten --- the
occasion enjoyed to the fullest. If you don't like the idea of a noisy, pokie
filled club or a boring motel give us a call and arrange the celebration of a
lifetime. No charge is made for the use of facilities should the function be
combined with accommodation bookings.
We can cater for 50 accommodation guests. While our
cabins are in reasonable proximity to each other they also offer both space and
privacy. Should accommodation for larger numbers be required the nearby Pub With
No Beer can provide for a further 30. The convenience of having accommodation at
the same location as the function is very appealing. It is also an idyllic
honeymoon haven.
The use of a courtesy bus and all other facilities and
services, except horse riding, is included in the accommodation tariff. The
courtesy bus is also available for restaurant bookings at a modest hourly rate.
No charge is made for the use of our grounds or facilities when function guests
are staying in our cabins.
In short, Bakers Creek Station provides an absolutely
private and very beautiful setting where guests can forget the rest of the world
exists and give themselves over to enjoying the moment.
